Travel Awards
In an effort to facilitate Congress participation for young researchers, the local organizing committee of Neuroinformatics 2011 has secured support for a certain number of travel awards. We encourage young researchers from all countries to apply for this award.

Student/Post-doctoral Travel Awards
The National Institutes of Health, National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, and National Institute of Drug Abuse have provided funding (R13NS074833) to support student and post-doctoral travel attendance of this Congress.
Eligibility requirements include:
- currently a student or post-doctoral fellow in an educational program
- submission of an abstract for the Congress
In order to apply, interested individuals must:
1 - Submit a Congress abstract (Deadline April 27th). Please indicate intention to apply for this award by selecting the appropriate checkbox provided on the abstract submission page
2 - Submit the following three items by email:
A) A short (250 word) personal statement about how travel support and attendance of this Congress would be beneficial to their career
B) Brief CV
C) A letter verifying student or post-doctoral status from their supervisor

Other Information
Both US Domestic and International students/post-doctoral fellows are encouraged to apply. Travel stipend awards will be in the amounts of $750 and $1500 to support domestic and international recipients, respectively. These funds are targeted to support registration, on-site lodging and transportation costs. Award decisions will be made by an award subcommittee of the Local Organizing Committee, and will be based on quality of abstract, impact to individual career, and demonstration of need.
